APPLYING

We are currently accepting applications for the 2021-22 Internship season on a rolling basis. Availability is limited and space is not guaranteed before receipt of your program deposit.

1
CHECK YOUR MASA ISRAEL ELIGIBILITY

If you intend to receive Masa Israel funding for Internship Tel Aviv, take a moment to make sure you meet the basic criteria first:

  • Identify as Jewish
  • Not have Israeli citizenship OR if you do, you must have left Israel before the age of 14 and have lived outside of Israel for at least four consecutive years prior to receiving a Masa Israel grant or scholarship
  • Have not spent 4 consecutive months or longer in Israel within the 24 month period prior to the start of your program after the age of 18
2
REACH OUT TO US!

Complete our short interest form to start the application process.

3
INTERVIEW

After an informational phone call, we will interview you to learn about your educational and professional experience, and what your ideal internship would look like.

4
DEPOSIT & INTERNSHIP PLACEMENT

Once you submit the $150 deposit, you’ll speak with our internship placement coordinator to hear more about placement possibilities, learn about the day-to-day of the internship, ask specific questions, and make sure you understand the program expectations.

5
MASA GRANT & REGISTRATION

We will provide you with all the instructions you need to secure the Masa grant. Expect to complete a basic medical background form and submit a background check

6
FINALIZE YOUR INTERNSHIP

Once you are officially enrolled, our internship coordinator will work with you to finalize your internship placement. The exact timing of your placement will vary according to the situation, but rest assured that applicants are accepted only if we are confident we can confirm their internship placement.

7
FINAL BALANCE

The balance of what you owe for the program is determined by the grant you receive from Masa. At this point we ask for your payment in full.

8
OBTAIN A VISA & BOOK YOUR FLIGHT
  • Book your flight
You’re responsible for booking your own flight and will need to send us your flight details.
  • Obtain your visa
Since you’ll be in Israel for more than three months, you’ll need a special A-2 Visa which is easily obtained at your nearest Israeli embassy or consulate (no cost). We recommend starting the visa application process 60 days prior to your arrival in Israel.

Detailed pre-trip preparation materials will be provided once the above steps are completed as you get set for the program.
