THE FELLOWSHIP
Teach English and volunteer on this highly subsidized and rewarding program. You’ll spend ten memorable months developing new skills, connecting with Israeli society on a personal level, and bonding with our NEXT community of Fellows.
After an initial period of training, you’ll be placed in a community public school, typically with another Fellow. There, you’ll tutor small groups of students in English outside the classroom – teaching key concepts like vocabulary, grammar, and spelling (25 hours/week). Experienced teachers are eligible for additional responsibilities.
Beyond teaching, you’ll take part in community volunteer projects according to your background and interests. Organized social activities, touring adventures, and enrichment programming are offered periodically. Your nights, weekends, and holidays are free for you to explore Israel on your own.
Fellows choose a host community where they will teach and live like a local

HOW IT WORKS
Including the Masa subsidy, the program technically costs $1,200 USD. But...
Fellows receive a minimum monthly cash stipend of 1,750 shekels (~$500 USD) or 3,000 shekels (~$900 USD) for experienced teachers. So, the "cost" functions more like a good-faith program deposit.
